| Tatyana V. Godovalnikova was born in 1962, in Sevastopol,Crimea, in artistic family. Her father is an artist and writer, and her mother is a sculptor.In 1984 Tatyana graduated Samokhish Crimean Art College. Since 1984 she began to work as a painter. In 1992 became a member of the Ukrainian Union of Artists. Since 1985 she took part in a number of art exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad. Some works were bought for private collections in Germany, Japan, Netherlands, and Switzerland. |

| Artist's Statement: |
| I was born in a family with strong cultural traditions,I was surrounded by a love for fine art and literature.From early childhood I confirmed my wish to become an artist,observed and was carried away by the beaty of the works of my parents,an artists.From 15 years old I already had a strong interest in Russian Impressionism.My favourite artist was and still is Konstantin Korovin.I was also influenced by the works of Valentin Serov.Primarily working in still life,landscape,I also does portraiture and particulary enjoys painting children and women.And my especially love for the great painting of Camille Corot and French Impressionists help me to develop my style with sensetive portrayal of subject matter and depth of colors.Crimean Art College give me foundation of painting of Crimean school,which containes all the best achivements of russian art.Painting is my profession and my great gladness. |
