| Artist's Statement: | |
| Siobhan healy (BA Hons) is interested in using details of plant anatomy in her work, which assume an abstract quality. She finds that the fragility of handmade glass and the subtle range of hues, lend themselves to creating flower petals and leaves. She has researched plants with medicinal properties and the folklore associated with herbal remedies. The intention is that the work will connect with people on a deeper level, to evoke distant memories and to conjure up reassuring feelings invoked by nature. | |
