| During my college years I developed a fascination with the human form and its potential as a vehicle for expression. I foused on life drawing and figurative sculpture. After graduating I worked as a chaser in a sculpture casting studio called Bronze Age. Whilst assisting many of Britain's leading sculptors I learned the age old process of ceramic shell bronze casting, a technique that was later to be fundamental to my own sculptural and conceptual vision. | |

| Artist's Statement: | |
| I start by visiting the client and share ideas about the portrait, possible solutions, how the sitter sees them self and would like to be perceived. At this stage some quick sketches, colour studies and photographs will be made. I work mainly from photographs up until the final stages when another sitting will be required for final details. Timescales for sitting will vary from sitter to sitter depending on individual requirements, but usually no more then 3 sittings will be required each lasting no more than two hours. | |
