| My current work combines my passion for plants and abstract art. I produce images that are abstract in nature and strong in colour. In developing this work I have explored the play and interplay of light and water on the surfaces of plants. The large range of plants that I have grown provide an enormous range of colours and textures upon which to draw. The limited edition photographs presented here are taken from different series of work, each of which exploits the visual effects of sun and rain on a particular plant type. I am continually fascinated by the resulting images and I am obsessed by the possibilities that the changing light may provide. In some of my images the spirit of the plant is quite evident whilst in others the only discernable relation to the plant is the colour and the title of the work. | |
