| Artist's Statement: |
| My Abstract works are vibrant ethereal and atmospheric, representing a frozen moment in time and in a dream like state between unconscious wanderings and the constructs of reality. When I am creating the images the same constructional disciplines of mass are applied just as carefully as when I am painting my realist canvases. The general haunting mood and ethereal metaphysical undercurrent also reflects the ambience and nature of landscapes and portraits. The Abstract works provide contemplative, subtle or startling visual areas of colour, particularly when situated in studio apartments or rooms with large white walls and minimalistic furnishings. |
