| Kirsten Baron Paintings | |
| Born in Germany in 1962; initially worked mainly in photography. After taking a foundation course at Reigate and a degree in Graphic Design at the Surrey Institute in Epsom, I worked as a freelance designer and illustrator for a few years, but also returned to my first love of painting. I still do the occasional bit of graphic design or website design, but concentrate on painting, printmaking and small 3D work in soapstone or wood. | |

| Most of my paintings and prints are inspired by natural forms, hence the tag of 'Organic Abstracts'. My current series of small paintings explore the similarities of shapes found in microcosm and macrocosm, specifically in cell structures and in outer space. My main concern, however, is always with colour, texture and form rather than with meaning. | |
