| Johnny Greig Photography |
| Johnny Greig was born in Ecuador in 1967 to a Dutch mother and British father. He was educated at Worth School and the University of Bristol and spent his holidays in Egypt and Dubai where his parents were based. These exotic locations inspired an interest in travel photography and the creation of atmospheric images using available light and strong composition. An interest in people photography was developed shooting portraits for school and university magazines. On leaving university in 1989, Johnny decided to take up photography professionally and came to London to begin his career. Working in the studio was a revelation and he developed a colourful and graphic style for portraiture and still life using lighting to maximum effect. Johnny works for advertising, editorial and corporate clients as well as individuals in the sport and music fields. He undertakes personal projects when he can and his photosynthesis series of flower and plant images has been exhibited around the UK. Johnny is married with a daughter and lives and works in London. |
