| Jane Dunn Paintings |
| Before taking up art I rode and trained horses professionally and rode in steeplechases and combined events.Then I became a dress designer and had my own label selling to Harrods etc.But I have always painted and finally nothing would do but retrain as a classical artist .My formal training was at Chelsae Art Shool, Simi Studio Florence and City and Guilds London. But I think my most valuable lessons were either in the saddle or mucking out or planting my garden . I now travel all over the place to look for gardens and return to France each year on painting trips. |

| Artist's Statement: |
| Most of my inspiration comes from the immediate landscape around me but for my paintings of gardens i travel all over the country . Many of my pictures are of french gardens . I lived in France for 12 years and still go back on painting trips . I am keen gardener and must portray the plants but the magic of the garden is what am really fascinated with. |
