Dominic Bromley Applied Art
Originally trained in Industrial Design, he has translated his love of sculpture into a series of form, driven lights, interior accessories and limited edition sculpture.
 
Education:
BSc Honours degree in Industrial Design (Brunel University) 1989-1993
 
Awards:
"Drawn to the Light" was shortlisted for the Elle Decoration Design Awards in 2005 and was exhibited in Conran's Bluebird Restaurant (London) as part of the "Let There Be Light".
In November 2004, Dominic was honoured to attend a reception held at Buckingham Palace by the HM The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh to celebrate British Design, a prestigious event that had many of the luminaries from the worlds of architecture and fashion, interior and product design.
 
Selected Commissions/collections:
2 large elm "Octoform" sculptures were commissioned for the Grand Hotel Reina Victoria in Madrid in 2006.
60 piece "Drawn to the Light" was commissioned in black bone china for a private client in Australia.
108 piece white bone china "Drawn to the Light" was commissioned for a private client in France.

Artist's Statement:
Trading under the name of Scabetti, Dominic Bromley has been working with ceramics since 1999. The collection has grown from smaller batch produced tabletop vessels to include limited edition sculpture and tantalising bone lighting in a range of materials. He is equaly happy to work with private customers and interior designers and architects. His work is available to buy "off the shelf" or tailored to individual requirements.
