Art has been the focus of Deborah’s life for as long as she can recall. She has developed a reputation for colourful, structured and adventurous work. Self-taught, she has not been influenced by any school of thought or method, an important factor in her development as an artist, creating a style which is truly innovative and free flowing, a juxtaposition of colour form and shape.

Artist's Statement:
I’ve always loved colour and for me that is the source of abstract art and its openness to interpretation you don’t have to mimic reality. I want to retain the viewers attention draw them in and generate a response. There are different types of abstract art some with recognisable forms of subject matter. My work is mainly non- objective, purely about design, composition and form. The overall composition or design of a painting is what guides the viewer's eye .My subject is the painting itself.
