| Born in 1972, I live in London and have a studio in Earlsfield. After studying art for 5 years I worked in film and then as an art consultant. It was whilst living in South Africa that I was inspired to go back to painting. I now also teach once a week at an art school in Hampstead. | |

| Artist's Statement: | |
| I am inspired by a first-hand experience of African wildlife gained whilst living in South Africa as well as from trips to Kenya and Namibia. My paintings have a strong filmic quality through the use of panoramic shapes and snapshots of individual movement, with raw and vividly cropped images. A dramatic use of colour gives the work a dynamic and contemporary feel. I make my own deep canvasses using fine linen, the sides are left unprimed as I like the contrast of the warm grey material against the colours in the painting. | |
