Deborah Batt Biography
Art has been the focus of Deborah’s life for as long as she can recall. She has developed a reputation for colourful, structured and adventurous work. Self-taught, she has not been influenced by any school of thought or method, an important factor in her development as an artist, creating a style which is truly innovative and free flowing, a juxtaposition of colour form and shape.
Exhibiting for some years now, her work is held in private and corporate collections worldwide. She is an elected member of the Fine Art Trade Guild, The National Acrylic Painters Association and The National Society of Painters, Sculptors and Printmakers

Artist's Statement:
I’ve always loved colour and for me that is the source of abstract art and its openness to interpretation you don’t have to mimic reality. I want to retain the viewers attention draw them in and generate a response. There are different types of abstract art some with recognisable forms of subject matter. My work is mainly non- objective, purely about design, composition and form. The overall composition or design of a painting is what guides the viewer's eye .My subject is the painting itself.
